Why Obey Truth?

I saw it on Tiffany's shirt tonight, and I thought, "Hey, I like that.  It's catchy."
And in case you want a scriptural reference, her shirt referenced this verse.

Romans 6:16-17:
16 - Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?
17 - But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted.

But here is where it gets interesting...
Look at this last phrase in 6:17 and how all the different versions use different words for the phrase above, "to which you were entrusted."

KJV - doctrine which was delivered you.
NLT - teaching God has given you.
NIV - teaching to which you were entrusted.
ESV - teaching to which you were committed,

They are all a little different, and each seems to conjure up a few tidbits of knowledge.
Delivered.  Given.  Entrusted.  Committed.
In the computer world we would call that, "Saved."
As in, the data was "Saved" on the hard disk.  It was entrusted to the care of the magnetic medium.  Or it was committed to memory.  It was given over to the safekeeping of the hard drive.  It was delivered to the data storage unit.  Or in simple terms.... SAVED.

Neat huh?
Saved.
